The PMC twenty5.22i
The more substantial PMC twenty5.22i is designed for use in larger spaces than the 21i, and is equally at home on its dedicated stands, console furniture or other flat surfaces. Its still-trim dimensions belie the lengthy ATL™ concealed inside, which, coupled with the powerful 6.5-inch g-weave bass driver and Laminair™ vent, allow it to deliver a clean, uncluttered and powerful low-end, together with detailed highs from the newly designed soft-dome treble unit. Despite its increased size, its performance is agile and full of dynamism.

Active Transmission Line
DEEPER, CLEARER, CLEANER BASS & MORE
- Greater detail & more natural
- A full, rich sound at any volume level
- Deeper bass from a smaller cabinet

ATL uses energy generated by the bass unit in a much more intelligent, efficient way than speaker designs based on ported or sealed boxes.

PMC’s Laminair™ aerodynamic vent takes audio performance to the next level, by applying ATL aerodynamic principles from high-performance engineering used from F1 to Le Mans and creating an even smoother, laminar air flow at the exit from the transmission line.
Laminair
ATL designs involve air moving at high speeds and under pressure.Reducing turbulence and drag at the ATL vent reduces resistance, increases efficiency, eliminates air noise and provides bass with supreme timing and the widest possible dynamic range. The combination of ATL and Laminair takes audio quality to unparalleled new heights:
- Faster, cleaner bass and higher definition sound throughout
- Turbulence is eliminated, increasing the efficiency of the ATL
- Removes air noise — only the music remains
- Higher maximum output and bass with supreme timing and dynamics
About PMC
Founded in 1991 by Peter Thomas of the BBC and Adrian Loader of FWO Bauch. The combination of knowledge and a life-long passion for music led to the production of PMC’s first product, the BB5-A, an active main studio monitor. This design was snapped up by the BBC Maida Vale and Metropolis Mastering and remains the world’s reference, used by Prince, Stevie Wonder’s Wonderland Studio, Hospital HDTV Broadcast London and for renowned classical labels such as Decca and Harmonia Mundi. Many of today’s movie themes have been crafted using PMC, from such eminent composers as Henry Jackman, Thomas Newman, Tyler Bates and John Debney.
PMC are one of the very few companies who have been awarded an Emmy® for their contribution to recording excellence. With film, it would be easier to list the blockbuster movies which did not use PMC during the process of music production and post! But titles include: Titanic, Mission Impossible, Captain Phillips, Pearl Harbor, Game of Thrones – TV, Iron Man 1& 2, Skyfall, Spiderman 1,2,3 and Pirates of the Caribbean and many many more.
PMC reigns supreme throughout the leading mastering houses, broadcasters and much of the professional world.
We believe a good loudspeaker should be able to relay the purest intentions of the artist without colouration – The ideal solution for both studio & home.
